About Devraha Baba Jan Kalyan Trust

The Devraha Baba Jan Kalyan Trust (DBT) is dedicated to making eye care accessible to all, particularly in underserved communities. Our inspiration comes from the teachings of Devraha Baba, a revered Siddha Yogi known for his commitment to fostering harmony among diverse groups. His legacy inspires our mission to uplift and empower those in need.

At DBT, we focus on improving eye health through initiatives like organizing eye camps and conducting screenings in remote areas, reaching individuals who lack access to quality vision care. We aim to empower people to lead fulfilling lives filled with confidence and opportunities.

Devraha Baba: The Beacon of Our Trust and Inspiration

Devraha Baba, known as the “Eternal Yogi” of India, was a revered spiritual leader who inspired countless people with his wisdom, love, and remarkable longevity. He was the eleventh in the spiritual lineage from Sri Ramanuja Acharya, a revered saint and philosopher from southern India who founded the Vaishnavism tradition.  Devraha Baba’s life and teachings are full of mystery and awe, especially because of his extraordinary age. Some believe he lived between 150 and 250 years, and his life was marked by profound spiritual wisdom and a deep sense of compassion.

Devraha Baba was widely loved by people from all walks of life. He was visited by many prominent figures, including politicians like Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, as well as common people,
saints, and yogis.

Despite his old age, he appeared vibrant and full of life, living simply in temporary homes or treehouses in the Himalayan mountains and the plains. Devraha Baba’s presence at major spiritual events like the Kumbh Mela, which happens every 12 years, further cemented his fame. He was known for his ability to radiate love and peace, and his teachings reached millions.

His philosophy was simple yet profound. One of his most famous sayings was, “Happiness is the greatest wealth of all.” Devraha Baba also practiced advanced yogic techniques, particularly pranayama (breathing exercises), which he believed played a key role in his long life. He also mastered an ancient technique called Khechari mudra, which helped him control his body and, many believe, even the time of his death.

Devraha Baba entered Mahasamadhi (the final stage of a yogi’s life) in 1990 in Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh), leaving his physical form. He passed on his wisdom and spiritual energy to his disciples, ensuring that his legacy would live on. Today, his life serves as a reminder of the power of love, peace, and simple living, encouraging us all to pursue a path of inner happiness and spiritual growth.
